Race visualization bugs

Postby manager » Sat Aug 11, 2012 8:52 pm

This topic is created to gather all bugs that you find during watching visualization.

What we have found:
1. There is no places and order in the table on the right
2. Time has wrong format (should be for example: 1:03.400
3. When driver makes error and slows down in a corner he slows down other drivers too much.

The buttons of speed up, stop... are grey, I thought they were unable to click and saw half of the race at minimum speed, but you can click them, so, they shouldn't be on grey :)

Buttons will be totally disabled (current situation is a bug) during live race visualization - just not to show winner to early :)

But during replays you will have possibility to even rewind or skip lap.

Ah ok, then, please, make the x1 speed a bit faster, cause it's really annoying :P

make the default speed as x2 for example

Hey,

I am using Opera on Windows and race visualization doesn't look good:

(I zoomed out so you could see how it looks.)

Is it supposed to be like this?

It shouldn't be like this, but we don't support zooming in and zooming out in the browsers. You should have set page size to 100% to have proper display. Did you have it?

Yes. I zoomed out so you could see how the whole looks, but it's the same with 100% zoom. ;) Sorry for not making my point clear.

If you want, I can send you a screenshot with 100% zoom, but it is exactly the same.

Ok, I don't need second screenshot. I need only the exact version of your opera browser (and please check other browsers like chrome or FF to be sure that it is opera problem)

Sure.
Opera 12.01 (Build 1532), 32 bits version.

I tested it on Chrome and it looks fine.

It's not a bug, but... could you make something in order to be easier to find yourself in the race visualization?
It's very hard for me to find myself on the first three laps, there are lots of helmets and can't see mine

Thanks, Rafa.

Victor, we will make it more user friendly for sure. It's just first "prototype" release of visualization and now we will improve it.
First of all we will allow you to make your (and maybe other drivers) helmet not grayed.
I think that in future you will be able to check and uncheck drivers that you want to see.
Furthermore I would like to see option to see X drivers ahead and Y drivers behind me. But this kind of feature is more in the future :)

I wasn't sure because in last four races I was always behind someone and didn't know if I did mistakes or I was stopped, but now I was free and I can confirm it because I'm sure I did one mistake on my 4th lap: When we do mistakes it doesn't appear any colour code on the track

last 2 races have been very strange, look at this picture http://puu.sh/XPlF

the format is wrong, the numbers are weird and almost random, and the race results/helmets drove around the track totally random, im not sure if it affected race results (i won quali and did fastest laps according to these numbers) but still finished somewhere near 3rd place i think, very odd

Hi.

We changed a bit logic of overtaking and defending but it shouldn't have negative impact on race results. You must have done some errors during a race and that cost you a win.
Numbers are wired and they haven't been sorted, but race was simulated correctly.
All the bugs are just in the table with lap times.
